  1. Note: Univariate analysis showed that sex, age and skull thickness were statistically correlated with the ultrasound penetrativity (P < 0.05). Impenetrable was defined as no signal being detected from any of the cerebral arteries. Penetrable was defined as successful display of any one of the cerebral arteries. Thickness was measured in centimeters at the thinnest part of the skull at the temporal window
