SSFP three-chamber cine images in two subjects with prosthetic aortic valves. The degree of artefact is determined by the proportion of metal in the valve prosthesis. The red arrow points to a patient with a bioprosthetic AVR, with minimal artefact generated by the small metal component of the supporting structure of the valve.
