Table 2 Relaxation times (in ms and ± SD) and estimates of the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the phantom experiments

From: Current T1 and T2 mapping techniques applied with simple thresholds cannot discriminate acute from chronic myocadial infarction on an individual patient basis: a pilot study

Reference T2 Measured T2 SNR estimate
39 39 ± 3 1412.4
58 65 ± 9 1360.6
83 77 ± 8 2386.9
Reference T1 Measured T1 SNR estimate
286 250 ± 14 571.4
520 473 ± 10 649.8
630 590 ± 14 478.9
925 880 ± 41 1106.5
1090 1062 ± 9 1370.5
  1. The reference T2 was acquired with multi-echo spin echo, the reference T1 with inversion recovery. The measured T2 and T1 is based on the T2- and T1-mapping as described for the in-vivo-measurements. The estimate of the SNR stems from the first image of the T2-series and the last of the T1-series
