The individual components of equation 3 are displayed as function of the product of particle parameters and magnetic field Saturation is reached for much lower fields in the acoustic case (bold curve) as in the magnetic L(αB) case. A comparison of the acoustic with a magnetic curve assuming doubled α (dotted line) indicates more than twice the resolution.
