Figure 11 compares the specificity, sensitivity and accuracy metrics for epidermal segmentation of the optimisation training and test sets, with and without the addition of the user interaction step. The boxplot shows the minimum, lower quartile, median, upper quartile and maximum for each metric. Outliers are shown as individual crosses, with outlier status given if a point is lies more than 2.7 standard deviations from the mean, assuming a normal distribution.
