Flow-diagram of the proposed myofibre segmentation methodology. Each region of interest is initially pre-processed before Coherence-Enhancing Diffusion filtering is applied. Morphological post-processing is then used to clean the segmentation and remove any remaining noise. The result of performing each step A–H on a sample region of interest is shown in Figure 3 A–H.
